Mystery horse sample reminder

I’d like to remind everyone about our free Monthly Mystery testing. We like to do free testing colour on one horse every month and write up the results to share on social media and keep in our archives.

There is one key requirement for your horse to be eligible for this program: it’s colour needs to be mysterious or really unusual.

For example, it’s colour could be half-way between two normal colours, like Winnie the buckalino (https://horse.practicalhorsegenetics.com.au/wpr/2016/05/09/mystery-solved-may-2016/).

Or your mystery horse could have WAY more white than either parent, like Willow (https://horse.practicalhorsegenetics.com.au/wpr/2016/04/08/mystery-solved-april-2016/) or Yarreh Lane Flash Gentleman Jack (https://horse.practicalhorsegenetics.com.au/wpr/2018/03/14/sb1-w20-horses/).

Sometimes we choose horses whose colour could be caused by completely different combinations of genes, for example when we showcased Sunset Champagne Symphony and Cayuse Two Up (https://horse.practicalhorsegenetics.com.au/wpr/2018/01/11/mystery-solved-december-2017/).
